EPIC appoint new Director of CSR

EPIC Risk Management is delighted to announce that Paul Findlay has joined the company as director of CSR.

Paul brings to EPIC a wealth of experience from his previous roles at the Football Association, within the military charity sector, at a large multinational bank and having also served in the military for 12 years prior. Paul has also been an important part of the Gambling Commission Lived Experience Advisory Panel.

Speaking of his new role at the globally leading gambling harm minimisation consultancy, Paul Findlay said:

“I’m extremely happy to be a part of the EPIC team. When I first heard of EPIC, I was blown away by the amazing work they do. As someone who has very close links and personal experience with gambling harm, I think it is invaluable that the work EPIC continues to do reaches as many sectors and realms as possible. It’s something very close to my heart and when the opportunity to work here and work for Paul Buck presented itself, it was an absolute no-brainer.

“I’ve been settling into the business really well. It has only been a few days, but I have been really impressed by everyone that I’ve met. It’s a very talented team.”

Paul discussed his immediate goals as director of CSR, adding:

“I think my vision for the pillar that I’m going to be director of is to start to look at how we can penetrate new and exciting markets; parts of society that absolutely need the work that we do, but don’t necessarily know about EPIC or don’t realise how we can support them.

“I’ll be looking at the social responsibility model and really starting to focus on areas that have previously been neglected when it comes to gambling harm. I think we can make a really positive impact on so many people that will need it going forward.”

CEO of EPIC Risk Management, Paul Buck commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Paul to our team at EPIC Risk Management.

“When EPIC was formed in 2013, our goal and mission was exactly the same as it is today – to utilise lived experience to take the problem out of gambling. We were the first to use lived experience in this way and we have 16 people who have suffered serious harm.

“Paul will bring his own eye-opening personal experience plus a wealth of experience across CSR and ESG across organisations such as the British Army, Barclays Bank, and the Football Association and will help us take our evaluation and impact to a whole new level.”
