Two more nominations for EPIC at the Northern International Trade Awards
EPIC Global Solutions’ worldwide impact has been recognised in its home region after being shortlisted in two categories for next month’s Northern International Trade Awards.
Open to all businesses across the north of England, the ceremony at Headingley Stadium, Leeds, on Wednesday 18th November is scheduled to reflect the achievements of the region’s top exporters of products and services, showcasing the achievements of the pioneers, the innovators, and the global success stories of organisations with headquarters in this part of the country.
EPIC will be in contention for both the ‘International Company of the Year (sub £10m)’ against Quality Bearings Online, Better2Know, Castrads, Probe Industries, and Brouns & Co, and the ‘Ethical Trader Award’, where competition comes from Viveca Biomed and QBS Technology Group.
The judges have placed EPIC on both shortlists after a two-stage judging process, where written evidence and a personal presentation have highlighted global achievements including activity in 24 countries in the year preceding the judging process, the expansion of several major international contracts across the gambling and sports sectors, passing the landmark of 100,000 NCAA student-athlete engagements (such as our delivery this year at Butler University, pictured), and the significant increase in the proportion of income now derived from non-UK markets.
The latest recognition means that EPIC faces an exciting schedule of four major awards ceremonies in a nine-day period in November. Alongside the event at the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Leeds Rhinos, the pioneers of experience-powered prevention are in the running for awards at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards (10th November), the Learning Technologies Awards (11th November) and the Vixio Global Regulatory Awards (18th November).
The company’s most recent awards event ended in success, when EPIC was named as the gold-standard winners of the Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year category at the prestigious SBC Awards in Lisbon earlier this month, where competition came from some of the biggest gambling brands in the world. That accolade recognised the outcomes of our operator-funded education programmes across elite sport, which have contributed to a significant rise in awareness of methods for preventing gambling-related harm and sporting integrity issues among players and staff in top level sport.
