EPIC & Whysup Collaborate for Wellbeing Service

EPIC Risk Management has teamed up once again with Whysup to use their ‘Wellbeing with Whysup Service’ service for team-members.

EPIC will receive monthly wellbeing updates from Whysup, each month exploring a different topic related to wellbeing often using guest speakers. The audience will also receive relevant information or links to allow them to pursue the topic or gain a better understanding of wellbeing.

EPIC Risk Management’s Head of Training and Development, Caty Illingworth: “Two things close to EPIC’s heart are wellbeing and collaboration, and this week we are proud to share with our team the first in a series of wellbeing videos from our friends at Whysup.

“We believe that these videos will help our team both internally by giving tips and techniques for maintaining their wellbeing, and also by sharing insight that will help them in the great work they do externally with clients in various high-risk sectors. It is important to revisit this topic regularly, and this is the beginning of a programme of materials which will keep our focus on such a critical topic.

“After all, we can only continue the great work we do in helping others if we ensure our team is thriving. In the current climate, this is more important than ever. I have never worked for an organisation that puts the wellbeing of its staff so firmly at the heart of what they do and am pleased that this is the first content to be released on our new learning platform, and just in time for World Mental Health day too.”

EPIC Risk Management and Whysup recently confirmed that they have renewed their collaboration with for a minimum of a further 12 months with the option of a multi-year arrangement.

“We are very pleased to confirm EPIC Risk Management have signed up to our ‘Wellbeing with Whysup Service’, said Whysup’s Liam McBride.

“EPIC is not simply a client; they have been our partner and friends for some time.

Whysup has worked with EPIC delivering awareness and educational sessions for the last two years.

“We have watched EPIC’s own team grow as they have established themselves as the experts in gambling-harm minimisation. Their work is so important and continues to have a huge impact.

“Now we get to support the people in the business and encourage them to invest in their own wellbeing alongside their work.

“The timing of this couldn’t be more pertinent, with it being World Mental Health Day tomorrow. Both organisation’s know the devastation that is caused by Mental Illness and Addiction, and we know that it can be avoided with the right level of awareness and understanding. So, it is great to see EPIC continuing to promote wellbeing and support its own team!”

Last year, EPIC and Whysup announced a shared collaborative approach to combat and reduce gambling-related harms at a national level. Over the last 12 months Whysup has played an important role in EPIC’s educational programmes, with Whysup co-founder Mark Murray team delivering gambling and online gaming awareness, education, and protection sessions in both education and professional sport as one of EPIC’s Education & Addiction Associates.
