EPIC Risk Management shortlisted for two IIP Awards

EPIC Risk Management has secured a double success at a prestigious international awards process, making the final shortlist for two categories in The Investors in People Awards 2021.

In a record-breaking year for entries, with nearly 300 organisations involved, EPIC has stood out to secure nominations for ‘Best Pivot’ and ‘Best Company’ in the Gold category, making the double listing a matter of immense pride for an organisation that has also just confirmed the launch of a U.S. subsidiary.

The Investors in People Awards celebrate the very best organisations and individuals from around the world across various organisational, people, wellbeing and leadership categories. Each year hundreds of organisations from the UK and abroad battle it out to take home one of the sought-after trophies to show their award-winning commitment to investing in their people.

The ‘Best Pivot’ category recognises how companies responded to the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic in order to remain successful whilst adapting to new working practices for the benefit of staff, stakeholders and the business itself, while ‘Best Company (Gold)’ showcases the very best companies to have been awarded Investors In People’s Gold standard this year – the second highest of the four tiers on offer. Investors In People accreditation recognises the organisations that go the extra mile to invest in the people that make up their workforce, valuing their wellbeing, being transparent with the company’s processes and offering opportunities for training and progression.

Paul Buck, CEO of EPIC Risk Management, is delighted that his company has followed up recent award wins from the Virtual Barclays Entrepreneur Awards and USA’s National Council on Problem Gambling in the past year with another round of nominations, explaining:

“We were already really proud to have achieved Gold status in our first ever Investors In People assessment this year, which is an achievement in its own right, so to add to that with these award nominations is a real bonus.

“We put people at the heart of everything we do, including having set up a wellbeing committee that comprises 20% of our workforce, so it’s very pleasing to be recognised for our commitment to the people who make EPIC what it is.

“The nomination in the ‘Best Pivot’ category also vindicates our decision to reimagine how we meet our mission – to take the problem out of gambling – when the world became a very different place last year. We pride ourselves in innovation, so it’s very satisfying to be acknowledged for what we believe was the right way to continue to directly and indirectly reach potentially vulnerable people during these testing times for everyone.

“We’re very excited for the outcome of the awards in November and send our best wishes and congratulations to all the other great companies who have been nominated alongside us.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, commented:

“Now in our eighth year, it always makes me feel immensely proud to see so many fantastic organisations staking their claim to be the best. And every year, the entries do get more and more competitive and the judging even tighter.

“Reaching the final shortlist is a testament to the amazing commitment these organisations are making to make work better for their people, and they truly deserve this recognition.”

The winners will be announced at an online ceremony on 23rd November 2021, with the full shortlist available at www.investorsinpeopleawards.com.
