EPIC Global Solutions leading the conversation on safer gambling best practice during European SG Week
The upcoming European Safer Gambling Week (November 17-23) will provide several set piece opportunities for EPIC Global Solutions to outline how we’re strategically placed to make gambling safer and more sustainable, delivering data-driven partnerships and industry leadership through the perspective of lived experience of gambling-related harm.
As ever, during such awareness periods, our expertise is in demand for corporate and public events evaluating safer gambling’s current status, with several headline speaking appearances lined up during the Safer Gambling Week period.
Senior business development manager Craig Cornforth will be offering critical perspective at the annual Sustainable Gambling Conference, now hosted by FDJ United, which takes place this year on Tuesday 18th November at Maison de la Poste in the Belgian capital, Brussels.
Joining the lived experience panel, he will assess the impact of technological development and availability on gambling, drawing on EPIC’s personal experiences and research to provide insight into how technology also has a particular role to play in safeguarding young adults, who are new to gambling, or those who shouldn’t gamble due to previous concerns.
The following day, EPIC CEO Paul Buck will join a Safer Gambling Week Breakfast Briefing in London, presented by Vixio and MindwayAI as a precursor to that evening’s Global Regulatory Awards, at which our proven provision has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution to Safer Gambling and Outstanding Contribution to Sports Betting Integrity awards.
The showcase at Law Society Hall provides opportunity to detail EPIC’s digital suite of products that are currently being developed and delivered across different territories and languages, alongside outlining the tangible improvements in SG provision we’ve achieved among our leading operator clients, leading to a safer and more sustainable gambling industry.
The week concludes with senior consultant Dan Spencer evaluating the effectiveness of safer gambling measures as part of the European Betting and Gaming Association’s European Safer Gambling Week webinar series on Friday 21st November. He will explain how EPIC turn data and insight into actionable strategies; a concept highlighted through the release of the company’s upcoming Activity Report. Registration for the event is open now.
Across all of the discussions, the EPIC representatives will demonstrate where our partnerships across high-risk sectors, such as elite sports and the gambling sector, create proof of institutional change and cultural adoption as a result of our consultancy, training and education services, empowering audiences will skills and knowledge to make and support safer gambling choices.
Such relationships consistently position EPIC as the trusted prevention partner for institutions at the heart of the gambling ecosystem.
Through direct action of this kind, EPIC staff will also be delivering key insight and awareness directly to staff working within the gambling industry, with at least one digital or face-to-face workshop being delivered with European operators every day during SG Week.
Bookmark our website and stay alert to our social media channels from Monday onwards, when our SG Week content will be supplemented by a vast array of new insight from corporate partners and clients. The release of our inaugural Activity Report will outline the value of our safer gambling provision in creating a long-term culture of integrity, wellbeing, and responsible decision-making across the highest risk sectors for problem gambling issues.
