Distinguished board professional Sanjay Bhandari MBE appointed as chair of EPIC Global Solutions

EPIC Global Solutions, the international consultancy specialising in gambling harm prevention, has appointed Sanjay Bhandari MBE as chair of the board, effective immediately.

Bhandari succeeds the late Mark Fuller, following a considered succession process by the board. The appointment is intended to ensure continuity of leadership and strong governance as EPIC continues to expand its international operations and advisory work across regulated markets.

Sanjay Bhandari brings more than 30 years of senior leadership and board experience across professional services, technology, sport and regulated sectors. His career includes a long tenure at EY, where he served as partner and chief innovation officer, leading the development of technology-enabled services and advising organisations on strategy, risk and regulatory change.

He currently holds a portfolio of chair and non-executive roles, including chair of Satellite Applications Catapult, the government-backed innovation organisation at the centre of the UK space technology sector, and chair of Athletic Ventures, a joint venture focused on the commercial development of UK sport. He is also chair of Kick It Out, English football’s equality and inclusion charity, and independent chair of Super League Basketball.

His experience in governance, innovation, compliance and stakeholder management is closely aligned with EPIC’s work supporting organisations operating in complex regulatory environments and delivering harm-prevention programmes across multiple jurisdictions.

Sanjay Bhandari was appointed MBE in the 2024 King’s New Year’s Honours for services to sport, in recognition of his work promoting equality, inclusion and good governance.
