SBC Awards shortlist EPIC for double awards success
EPIC’s continued commitment to player protection has been recognised with a double nomination in the ‘Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year’ category at both of this year’s flagship SBC Awards events.
At both the newly-named SBC Awards Americas, set for May 14 at Pier Sixty Six in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the SBC Awards Europe, taking place at the Hilton Hotel, San Ä iljan, Malta, on June 12, EPIC will be in contention in the same award category, recognizing the success of key projects either side of the Atlantic.
In the North American market, the nomination was based around the ongoing impact of EPIC’s extended engagement with the NCAA to educate student-athletes and staff around the potential dangers of problem gambling, while for the European audience, the immediate triumph of the new SPFL education programme, backed by William Hill, was at the centre of the nomination, alongside dozens of other impactful programmes delivered across the continent.
EPIC have been successful at the SBC Awards North America in each of the past three years, winning the now-discontinued ‘Player Protection Service Provider of the Year’ accolade from 2022 to 2024 (pictured above).
The nominations continue the company’s rich vein of success at trophy ceremonies, with CEO Paul Buck winning the Outstanding Individual Contribution to Safer Gambling award at December’s Vixio GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards and EPIC having been on the shortlist for the ‘UK Employer of the Year’ award at the Investors In People Awards a month earlier.
The upcoming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale is connected to SBC Summit Americas, which moves from New Jersey to Florida this year. Taking place from May 13-15, the major industry gathering will feature several keynote panel appearances from EPIC staff, which we’ll be previewing in the run-up to the event via our website and social media platforms.
